Immortals of the Lamp

Both Christ and Buddha are often depicted in a lion aspect. Lions are called The King of Beasts, are admired for their strength and beauty, and are viewed as wisdom figures.

It is not unusual for a Mary figure or a Kannon (Quan Yin) to be envisioned  standing along side in supporting
roles and also as beatific figures
in their own right.

Each of the world religions and spiritual sects have god and goddess figures bringing wisdom into the world.  Wisdom, or Enlightenment, is often represented metaphorically as a lamp.

The Tree of Life contains all forms of wisdom, including Gaia, the goddess Earth herself. Look closely and you’ll find her.
